The relevance of social media

Posted by JanBmulder - December 17th, 2009

At the end of this year, will see all kind of predictions for the next year, 2010. A lot has been said about social media. That it will be adopted massively by companies. And companies already claiming that they want a ‘return on investment’.

Individuals using social media to broaden there network, to have conversations with friends and start collaborating through opportunities, already experience their ‘return on investment’.

When it’s relevant, you have your ‘return on investment’.

Relevant social media designed, powered and used by the individual.

My prediction is that companies are looking for bespoke social media software. In their book return on investment means control. It’s not about being relevant.

What makes that you are relevant to your audience?
