Blurring boundaries

Posted by Jan Mulder - september 21st, 2010

In the ancient world, humanity has drawn random lines on our earth. These arbitrary lines we call borders. A country on each side. And each country has its own rules on how, we as humans, may cross that boundary.

In the new world of social media, there are no countries anymore. Tools like LinkedIn and  Twittercounter have only cities and regions. Where we, as human and user, connect in our  own ways.

Through social media boundaries are fading. Almost always beneficial.
Is this a harbinger of how distance is bridged? How people can get together? Are blurring  boundaries the solution?

What do you think?
